The Diocese of Charlotte requires that, in order to receive the sacrament of Confirmation, students must have been baptized, received the sacraments of 1st Reconciliation and 1st Eucharist and completed the last two years of religious instruction in a Catholic church Faith Formation program or a Catholic school, prior to beginning preparation for Confirmation.
As instructed in the initial letter about the requirements for Confirmation, students must provide proof that they have completed 10 hours of volunteer service. A list of suggested organizations and activities that often need volunteer help is available at:
